The Bendi is an articulated four-wheel counterbalance truck with unique aisle efficiency. Stacking aisles can be as small as 1600mm, giving a density of storage that exceeds that of any reach trucks and in many instances, better than a Man-up Turret Truck V.N.A. (very narrow aisle) machine. Transfer aisles can be as small as 2500mm and no form of guidance is required, giving a totally cost effective system.
The Bendi has large 18" diameter rear drive wheels fitted with super-elastic rubber tyres. This combined with an articulating front axle creates a machine that operates easily and safely both indoors for stacking of racks and out of doors for unloading lorries.
The principle behind this truck was to produce a truck capable of working in very narrow aisles. It was realised that the chassis had to articulate to produce such a small aisle width. Hence, Bendi became the inventor of the articulated forktruck. This concept was further improved by the "Unique to Bendi" twin motor rear wheel drive patented system, capable of reachtruck precision and lift height with the ability to work in the same narrow aisle as a man-up turret truck.
